Time means Nothing to God — Oh Really?

images (30)Another point I would like to make, John, is that time means nothing to God.

2 Peter 3:8  — “Dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape you: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.”

I have studied many types of prophecy and I have come to the conclusion that interpretation of prophecy is speculation at best. So, yes, call me a skeptic.

For example, as John was in “the last hour” so are we (1 John 2:18).  The last hour is timeless…. Remember the Bible was written not as man thinks but as God the Father thinks…..

My Response:

I must disagree. God created time for us to use (see Gen. 1:14f).  And He speaks to us throughout his Word in time language that we can readily and easily understand.

Your stretching of “the last hour” to being 19-plus-centuries-and-counting long – IMO — is absurd.

Rather, I subscribe to timely and precise fulfillment of all end-time prophecies, and certainly not a prolonged delay of any (per Heb. 10:37).

But what do you think?
