Basis of your judgment

Certainly, the Bible does not teach salvation by works. Salvation is a gift and comes by faith alone (Eph. 2:8-9). But once saved, and if this happens in this life, you then have the opportunity to do “good works” (Eph. 2:10). Those “good works” are the basis for storing up heavenly rewards (Matt.6:19-21). It is also true that we are not saved without works (Phil. 2:12-13; Jas. 2:17-20), that rewards and punishments for believers are based on works for or against God, and works are also the basis of punishment for both believers and non-believers.
