How Much Faith Did Jesus Have?

images (2)I posed this question to my weekly Bible study group last week.

Here are the four answers I gave them: A) None B) Some C) Much D) Total.

Which one would you pick?

Most picked: D) Total.

But the correct biblical answer is A) None.

Why so? The biblical fact is, Jesus did not need any faith. Why not?

Because faith is biblically defined as, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Heb. 11:1).

And Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does” (John 5:19-20).

Jesus could see what the Father was doing.

Moreover, He had first-hand and visual experience with the Father in heaven having been “with God in the beginning” (John 1:1; Col. 1:17) and “through him all things were made” (John 1:3; Col. 1:16).

Therefore, Jesus did not need any faith or hope, as it’s scripturally defined and exhorted.

Where am I wrong on this? What do you think?
