Just the FACTS

hostile-takeover-5“You STILL haven’t addressed the FACTS,” a duet of hostile critics so accused me on FB last week.

“The informal ‘debates’ I’ve had with him [Noe] over the years have been wastes of time.”

“Still the liberal you always were Noe, simply trying to name call instead of addressing the FACTS.”

“C’mon, John, address the facts and then we will all be satisfied, and rest in peace. I’m hanging in suspense until u do,” a friendly contributor encouraged me.

Great idea, I thought. So here are the biblical FACTS I gave them.

There are no such things as: an end of time, end of the world, last judgment, final resurrection, second coming, final coming, or return of Christ, or two parousias, a delay of fulfillment, or a Church-Israel dichotomy, 7-year period of tribulation, rapture-removal of saints, replacement of Israel by the Church, or a withdrawn kingdom.

But there were, are, and will be many different types of comings of Jesus for many different purposes, at many different times, and in many different places.

For scriptural, historical, and documented proof, see my latest book, Unraveling the End: A balanced scholarly synthesis of four competing and conflicting end-time views.

How’s that for a list of FACTS?  And there are more.

But what do you think?
